In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial transactions, supporting both our customers and internal staff. Responsibilities- Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
- Create and submit invoices in accordance with company practices.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone or email in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain and update customer files, including changes to contact information or account details.
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
- Accurately type, prepare, and maintain accounting documents and records.
- Prepare and post bank deposits.
- Assist and support company personnel as needed.
- Research, track, and resolve accounting or documentation discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Stay current with job knowledge and best practices in accounting.
- Experience in accounts receivable; accounts payable experience is a plus.
- Bank teller experience is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Aptitude for working with numbers.
- Ability to perform filing and record-keeping tasks.
- Data entry and word processing skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
