Demand Planner
- Carrollton, Texas

Department: Service - Warehouse / Logistics

Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time

Location: United States/Carrollton, TX

Reporting To: Amy Byrne

Compensation: $61,000 - $75,000 / year

Description

The Planner is a strategic supply chain technical leader that drives optimized inventory levels, spare parts availability, forecasting accuracy, and leads cross-functional initiatives. This role aligns demand planning, purchasing, supplier‑vendor relationship management with business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and business intelligence.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust models to improve performance.
  • Align demand plans with product lifecycle and service strategies.
  • Provide regular demand reports and insights to stakeholders.

Inventory Optimization

  • Balance inventory investment with service level goals.
  • Collaborate with supply planning to ensure adequate stock levels for critical parts and products.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to excess or obsolete inventory.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Finance, Service, and Operations to align forecasts with financial and operational targets.
  • Work with procurement and repair centers to ensure timely replenishment and repair planning.
  • Support special projects related to demand planning and process improvement.

Systems & Data Management

  • Utilize ERP and planning systems (e.g., JDE, Baxter Planning, Synchron) to manage forecasts and inventory data.
  • Maintain data integrity and prioritize updates to support accurate planning.
  • Generate performance dashboards and KPIs for executive reporting.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, Business Intelligence or related field)
  • 4+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics.
  • Proven success in improving forecast accuracy and inventory performance using planning tools and data analysis.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Advanced analytical skills with Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Lookups) and database tools.
  • Strong ERP knowledge; JDE preferred.
  • Experience with demand planning systems (e.g., Baxter Planning, Synchron).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
Job Benefits

Pay Range: $61,000 - $75,000, Actual pay will be adjusted based on job‑related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; education; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
