Senior Controls Engineer
Our client, based near Dallas, Texas, is seeking a skilled Senior Controls Engineer to develop and optimize systems that improve quality, productivity, and safety. This full-time, direct hire position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals.
Primary Responsibilities- Develop and implement processes to enhance quality, productivity, and safety, reducing inefficiencies.
- Lead controls projects, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Collaborate across departments to initiate and oversee process improvement projects from start to finish.
- Advanced programming skills in Allen Bradley PLC systems, including Ladder Logic, Function Blocks, and Structured Text.
- Design and implement control and OT network architectures.
- Apply control engineering principles in manufacturing settings.
- Experience with VFDs and Kinetics motion control systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in industrial engineering or maintenance; candidates with over 10 years of experience may be considered without a degree.
- Experience with continuous processes, preferably in aluminum extrusion or manufacturing.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of AC & DC electrical systems up to 480 volts.
- Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLCs, RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, and Factory Talk View Studio.
- Hands-on experience with AC drives, motor controls, and Ethernet/IP networking.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical is a plus.
- Understanding of industrial safety practices; NFPA 70E knowledge preferred.
Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime, one evening shift every third week, and on-call duties one weekend per month.
