Physician Assistant – Critical Care

Location: Carrollton Regional Medical Center – Carrollton, TX

Schedule: Full-Time

The Physician Assistant (PA) will provide advanced care to critically ill adult patients with multi-organ or multi-system conditions in the ICU. Working under the supervision of a physician, the PA performs exams, orders and interprets tests, conducts approved procedures, prescribes medications, and implements treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.

• Deliver direct patient care in a critical care/ICU setting.
• Obtain patient histories, perform physical exams, and document findings.
• Order, interpret, and explain diagnostic and lab tests.
• Perform approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Assess patients for changes in condition and initiate emergency interventions as needed.
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical research activities.
• Educate patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintain professionalism and participate in ongoing professional development.

• Education: Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years as a PA in a critical care/ICU setting.
• Licensure/

• Licensed PA in the State of Texas.
• NCCPA Certified.
• Texas Prescriptive Authority (DEA).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
