Position:Health Informatics Specialist
Salary Range:$60,000 annually
Schedule:Full-time, Monday-Friday
Job Summary:Boyd Memorial Hospital is seeking a dynamic and dependable individual to act as the leader in Informatics . This full-time role requires excellent problem solving skills, organization, and strong communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have an IT background, with EMR experience as a plus. The individual will be the point of contact for all hospital and clinic employees to optimize healthcare delivery, improve patient care, and enhance data-driven decision-making.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Training clinical staff on software and hardware
- Acting as technical support for clinical and administrative staff
- Testing new software prior to implementation
- Configuring software for the requirements of the healthcare facility
- Communicating with software and hardware vendors
- Evaluating the effectiveness of existing systems, identifying areas for improvement, and developing solutions to enhance healthcare delivery
- Reporting on newly available products and updates to administration
- Overseeing any needed or recommended maintenance
- Ensuring software and hardware supports system infrastructure
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in health informatics to ensure that the organization is utilizing the most effective tools
- Technical Proficiency:Strong understanding of health information systems, data management, and relevant technologies.
- Communication and Collaboration:Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and other stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving:Ability to identify and resolve issues related to health information systems.
Project Management:Ability to manage projects related to the implementation and optimization of health information systems
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree
- Prior EMR experience preferred
- Prior IT experience preferred
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit, stand, and move for extended periods
- Manual dexterity for typing and handling paperwork
- Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Standard office environment with exposure to clinical settings as needed
- Must adapt to a flexible schedule
