Data Analyst

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Rexel team in Carrollton, TX!

The Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering and translating business and service requirements into queries, models and tools to allow for insightful data analysis and forecasting. You’ll collaborate with various users to develop and interpret reports, create complex data queries, reconcile data from sources, develop ad-hoc queries to augment/pilot new reports and perform data cleansing and auditing to identify idiosyncrasies and ensure data integrity.

The Data Analyst also educates customers/employees on availability of standard reports to meet operational information requirements and uses deployed business intelligence capabilities to make recommendations to help business users analyze data and create customized reports and analytics.

• Be the point of contact for report/analytic needs
• Work closely and collaboratively with all areas of the business including Finance, Marketing, IT, Customer Support, Order Fulfillment and Sales to provide solid reporting
• Monitor data integrity to drive the creation and maintenance of valid, standardized data for accounts, contacts, and transactions
• Join multiple data sources into one
• Work across multiple departments to gather data and business requirements to meet reporting needs
• Work with Product Owner’s to ensure data is concise and the reporting tools are working as required
• Develop and interpret reports, create complex data queries, reconcile data from sources, develop ad-hoc queries
• Other duties as assigned

• 2+ years of experience working with SQL databases, writing and executing SQL queries and using the results in the creation of technical and business reports preferred
• Experience with Power
  
  BI, Tableau, Star Query preferred
• T‑SQL and MS SQL experience preferred
• Experience with ETL tools
• Basic HTML/Web Programming experience
• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent - Required
• Written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills.
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Strong background in Math
