The Detail Parts Inspector performs precise measurements of turbine engine parts during the MRO process to ensure compliance with OEM specifications, engineering tolerances, and regulatory standards.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEssential Job Functions:
- Read and interpret maintenance and overhaul manuals, service bulletins and other specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing life‑limited, malfunctioning, or damaged components
- Replace or repair worn, defective or damaged components using hand tools, gauges and testing equipment
- Perform testing of PT6 model engines and components
- Perform inspection of incoming parts, and final inspection of articles. Ensuring all inspections are properly performed and recorded, and all records are properly executed before final approval for return to service of articles maintained or altered by Prime Turbines
- Ensuring the Work Order packages contain the required documents and forms
- Proficient in reading and understanding manufacturer's instructions, drawings, and technical documents
- Mechanical experience in either the Aviation or Automotive Industry
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment, i.e., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.
Requires sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Requires frequent walking, bending, and reaching to shoulder level. Requires occasional squatting, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling weight up to 60 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye‑hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Equipment Operated:Ability to use precision measuring equipment, i.e., micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, etc.
Education/Training:High School diploma or GED Equivalent
Experience:At least 2 years of related experience in Aviation or related field preferred.
