Job descriptionWe’re looking for dependable, hands‑on team members to join our manufacturing team. This role operates equipment in both extrusion (raw materials to film/tube) and converting (film to finished goods). You’ll start up, monitor, and stop machines safely, complete quality checks, and maintain a strong throughput.
Key Responsibilities- Operate machinery safely and efficiently according to work instructions.
- Monitor line performance (speed, temperatures, pressures, feeders) and report issues.
- Assist with line startups, shutdowns, and simple changeovers.
- Stage, verify, and load raw materials (resins/additives) with a high level of accuracy.
- Perform basic quality checks (visual, measurements) and record results.
- Support daily and weekly basic care tasks (wipe‑downs, checks, light maintenance).
- Load/unload rolls, palletize finished cases, label/date‑code, and move materials to staging.
- Maintain a clean, organized workstation (5S) and help with end‑of‑shift cleanup.
- Follow all PPE and safety rules; report hazards or near misses immediately.
- Communicate clearly with Leads during startups or downtime.
- Remain productive by taking initiative; cleaning, organizing, restocking, or assisting teammates to keep operations running smoothly.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.; 18 years or older.
- Willing to work off‑shifts and weekends as needed.
- Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
- Basic computer skills.
- Able to safely stand, walk, lift, and push/pull up to ~50 lbs during a shift.
- Reliable attendance and a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
- Previous manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with extrusion or converting processes.
Physical Requirements
- Fast‑paced manufacturing environment requiring PPE.
- Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and bending; occasional climbing of steps/stands; safe lifting up to approximately 50 lbs.
