Base pay range

$35.00/hr - $39.00/hr

SUMMARY

This role is primarily responsible for performing HMC Change Over level maintenance for production/operations. Perform regular operations preventive maintenance and replace parts that need to be replaced during the changeover process. Contributes to ensuring safe working practices are followed and contributes ideas to simplify and standardize the workplace. Support to troubleshoot malfunction of the HCM equipment to operators as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Core duties and responsibilities include the following and other duties may be assigned by the director of production and cooperating with the gels filling production supervisor.

  • Responsible for HMC setup between the time frame established to ensure the equipment is properly set up for the production schedule.
  • Train HMC machine operators on how to troubleshoot the line when malfunctions occur.
  • Troubleshoots, maintains, supports and assists with repairs to HMC production equipment.
  • Assist with all process improvements projects and production/quality standards, Company KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to include, but are not limited to safety, quality, cost and housekeeping.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on all minor and major pieces of equipment related to HMC production equipment.
  • Complies with all equipment, safety and OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumable parts for equipment.
  • Monitor facilities and manufacturing operating equipment on a daily basis, notify maintenance leadership and direct supervisor the level of spare parts, equipment problems and inefficiencies and recommend possible solutions.
  • Identify existing and potential operational problems and efficiencies.
  • Maintain and organize the documents and procedures related to calibration, preventative maintenance and usage of logbook.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Follow the Company documents (BOM) when the setup is performed and during the shift, best GMP practices and safety regulations.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure HMC product meet company and customer quality standards e.g. (weights, Seals, code, etc.)
  • Always maintain a safe and clean production area.

  • Must have technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude to perform complex start up, debugging and repairs of packaging machinery.
  • Ability to read and understand technical instructions and reference materials in order to interpret and apply Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions; perform practical application of mathematical calculations to solve specific mechanical problems and use many types of equipment.
  • Must communicate effectively in order to interface with multiple internal customers and equipment vendors, contractors and others to meet project requirements.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • 2-3 years as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment or 2-5 years as a Machine operator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Digital Logic Systems.
  • Reading Schematics and Symbols.
