Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the critically ill patient with congenital heart disease and/or surgery. Organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document, and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered, and holistic. Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment. Participate in CHSU initiatives and process improvement. Maintain high‑quality age‑specific care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult population.

- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
- BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license is required.
- CCRN preferred.
- Congenital heart experience and/or high‑acuity PICU experience is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year PICU or CHSU RN experience.
