• Determine the predictable health status and needs of patients through health data and preventive practice.
• Use a systematic approach to provide individualized, goal‑directed nursing care.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding patient health status.
• Formulate nursing care plans based on diagnoses and identified problems.
• Implement nursing care within the RN’s scope of practice, complying with applicable laws.
• Develop and implement teaching plans for patients to promote health and restoration.
• Provide education, emotional support, and age‑specific care to foster partnership with patients and families.
• Provide care for multiple patients directly or through delegation.
• Evaluate patient responses and outcomes to therapeutic interventions.
• Apply critical thinking to analyze clinical data and current literature for nursing decision making.

• Graduate of an accredited Professional Nursing school.
• BSN required within 24 months of hire if hired after 6/1/12.
• Minimum of one year of critical‑care experience; ICU experience required within the last three years.
• Ability to care for ICU, PCU, and Med‑Surg patients as requested.
• Request to assume Charge duties as needed.
• Current RN license in Texas or a compact license.
• Current BLS and ACLS provider credentials.
