Hiring a Field Service Technician

We’re excited to offer you the opportunity to solve water by deploying our tools and equipment at client sites. The Field Technician will work out in the field deploying our tools and equipment from operating pipelines at client sites. The Role

This position requires fieldwork, equipment deployment, and pipeline inspections with minimal supervision.

Core Responsibilities
  • Assess the condition of water pipelines using proprietary inspection technology and monitor pipelines for deterioration.
  • Run equipment and execute field work with minimal supervision.
  • Plan inspections, monitor equipment installations, and prepare tools/equipment for mobilization.
  • Review design drawings, write planning documents, test and prepare inspection/monitoring equipment, and submit timesheets and expenses.
  • Act as a safety champion by participating in safety meetings, reviewing safety risks during project planning, and taking corrective actions on site.
  • Be proactive, prevent problems, and be solutions-oriented to meet challenges on the fly in unpredictable environments.
  • Cooperate as a team member, adapting to direction from others and setting direction when needed.
  • Provide constructive feedback on quality of work, process efficiency, or project outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3 years of previous experience in a field, shop, or construction setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to understand technical operating procedures, ask questions, and share observations.
  • Ability to read or learn to read construction drawings and/or maps.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Strong organization and punctuality.
  • Dedicated team player committed to safety and successful operations.
  • Ability to complete assigned work in a timely manner with quality results.
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license, pass a driver background check, and obtain a DOT Medical Card.
Physical Requirements
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds of equipment regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
  • Walk and stand for long durations, often on uneven, slippery, or rough terrain such as gravel, grass, or concrete.
  • Work in confined spaces such as vaults and manholes using proper safety equipment and protocols.
  • Comfortably wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety glasses, steel‑toed boots, gloves, high‑visibility vests, and harnesses.
  • Tolerate exposure to loud noise, dust, water, and variable lighting conditions.
  • Perform tasks that require manual dexterity and the ability to handle small tools or electronic components with precision.
  • Safely enter and exit trucks and trailers and assist in loading/unloading equipment.
  • Work variable schedules, which may include extended shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays, depending on project and operational needs.
Day In The Life

Field Service Technicians work primarily outdoors in a variety of weather conditions—including heat, cold, rain, wind, and snow—often near water, roadways, and in active construction zones, sometimes at remote locations. The role may require up to 75% travel, sometimes with short notice.
