Lead Security Technician

Anistar Technologies is seeking a Lead Security Technician to install and service access control, CCTV, and surveillance systems.

The Lead Security Technician will lead teams or crews in installation, and perform service tasks for new equipment installation, repairs, and system upgrades. The role supports the security solutions business by installing and troubleshooting electronic security systems, including intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform installation and servicing of security management solutions such as access control, intrusion alarms, CCTV systems, and related systems. Install, configure, and test equipment to ensure complete functionality.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, reconfigure, and repair equipment and devices as needed.
• Upgrade and expand systems to enhance functionality and usability.
• Enter computer programs to add CCTV cameras, access control devices, and intrusion alarm systems as required.
• Coordinate with administration and other trades to complete projects efficiently.
• Read and interpret drawings and prints to install equipment correctly.
• Terminate equipment and field devices, verifying operation from the field to reporting systems.
• Lead the team, delegate tasks, and demonstrate proper techniques.
• Adapt to daily task requirements to ensure project completion.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Education, and Experience:

• Ability to read technical documents, drawings, and prints.
• Strong communication skills and ability to think quickly in a fast-paced, technical environment.
• Experience with IP-based security systems.
• Reliable transportation for travel within the metroplex.
• Knowledge of Software House, Open Option, Genetec, Avigilon, Axis, Salient, and Lenel is a plus.
• Experience with nurse call, intercom, and commercial sound systems is a plus.
