*** This is a field-based position located in the Dallas
- Fort Worth area with travel throughout Texas ***

Schedule: Full-time, typically 10-hour shifts with overtime as needed

Pay: $22 - $28 per hour

Work Arrangement: Field-based, outdoor work with travel throughout Texas

ARS Engineers is seeking an experienced SUE Crew Lead with a minimum of 2 years of experience in utility locating or surveying. This position will oversee a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) field crew responsible for locating, surveying, and exposing underground utilities using vacuum excavation equipment. The ideal candidate is a dependable, hands-on leader who demonstrates strong leadership skills, accountability, and a commitment to quality and safety in the field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in utility locating or surveying

Valid Texas driver's license with an excellent driving record

Ability to successfully complete a background check and drug screening

Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Strong work ethic, integrity, and a proactive leadership mindset

Excellent reliability, punctuality, and personal accountability

Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills

Basic computer proficiency

Commitment to maintaining a clean and well-kept company vehicle

Experience operating vac trucks

Ability to read and interpret utility records

Experience using various utility locating equipment and techniques

Lead field crews on-site to ensure efficient operations and timely project completion

Identify, designate, and mark underground utilities using locating equipment and utility records

Collect and document survey data for designated utilities

Operate vacuum excavation trucks to safely expose underground utilities

Maintain clear and effective communication with field crews and office personnel

Ensure company vehicles are clean and equipment is properly maintained

Follow ARS Engineers' quality control and safety standards
