Based in Carryduff, this permanent HGV 2 Class 2 Driver
- Waste and Recycling post with Manpower UK involves scheduled and ad-hoc collections across the local area. Working Monday to Friday, 7:30am until 5:00pm (45 hours weekly), the driver operates Category C vehicles on daily routes, completing pre-use and post-use checks while ensuring safe loading and transportation of materials. Full compliance with transport and environmental rules is essential. Candidates need a valid HGV Class 2 licence, solid driving record and awareness of safety procedures.

Salary is negotiable, reflecting experience. Secure, long-term employment within an essential industry.

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for multiple HGV Class 2 (Category

C) Drivers to join a well-established waste and recycling operation across Carryduff. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for secure, long-term work within a growing and essential industry.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out scheduled and ad-hoc waste collections, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with transport and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operating HGV Class 2 vehicles to complete daily collection routes
  • Carrying out pre-use and post-use vehicle checks
  • Ensuring safe loading, transportation and tipping of waste materials
  • Completing route sheets, delivery notes and digital records accurately
  • Reporting vehicle defects and maintaining vehicle cleanliness
  • Carrying out collections from commercial and industrial sites
  • Supporting manual and mechanical loading/unloading activities
  • Using equipment such as tail lifts, pallet trucks and handling aids
  • Sorting and segregating waste in line with regulations
  • Adhering to driver hours, tachograph and health andamp; safety requirements
  • Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all times
