We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative R&D Engineer to join our advanced technology team. This role focuses on the development of next‑generation aerospace fastening systems and assembly solutions, including adhesive bonding, laser‑based joining, robotic automation, and integrated assembly technologies. You will lead research initiatives, prototype development, and testing to drive innovation and maintain our competitive edge in the aerospace sector.
Job Responsibilities:- Research & Innovation
- Lead R&D initiatives in fastener design, adhesive bonding, laser joining, and robotic assembly.
- Investigate emerging technologies and materials to enhance product performance and manufacturability.
- Conduct feasibility studies and material evaluations for new joining techniques.
- Design & Development
- Develop prototypes and validate designs using CAD, FEA, and simulation tools.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality) to ensure seamless integration of new technologies.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and test protocols.
- Testing & Validation
- Design and execute experiments to assess mechanical performance, durability, and environmental resistance.
- Perform root cause analysis and failure investigations related to fasteners and bonding systems.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, NADCAP, ASTM, SAE).
- Project Management
- Manage multiple R&D projects, including planning, budgeting, and reporting milestones.
- Interface with suppliers and customers to align technical requirements and ensure successful implementation.
- Bachelor's or master"s degree in mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronics or Chemical Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace R&D, preferably in fasteners, adhesives, or robotic assembly.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, CATIA), FEA tools, and data analysis platforms.
- Strong understanding of materials science, surface treatments, and joining technologies.
- Knowledge of laser processing, robotics integration, and automation systems is a plus.
