The Division of Child and Family Services (DCFS) is recruiting for a Clinical Program Planner 1 under filling a Clinical Program Planner
2. This position is in the Planning and Evaluation Unit (PEU), which is part of the Quality & Oversight branch of the Division of Child and Family Services. Clinical Program Planners perform and supervise a variety of planning and data analytical functions in support of clinical programs and activities within divisions of the Department of Health and Human Services, including quality improvement, program design, policy and procedure development, program evaluation, research, contract and grant development and administration, strategic planning, and training initiatives.
Incumbents utilize a System of Care approach to perform all program activities and functions of PEU, in accordance with NRS/NAC, Medicaid regulations, and national best practices. This position integrates clinical service delivery concerns into planning and data analysis services to promote service delivery effectiveness and quality, and coordinate and monitor quality improvement and strategic planning activities. The incumbent will be responsible for providing technical assistance, quality improvement and assessing policy alignment for community and public agency children's behavioral health providers and stakeholders;
support expansion of Nevada's children's behavioral health provider network adequacy; supervision, evaluation, and management of staff as assigned; research and analysis of issues related to children's behavioral health issues; develop policies, procedures and standards; develop quality assurance and quality control measures; data collection and analysis; review, finalize and submit written reports; and maintain knowledge of federal and state laws regulating home and community based services for youth birth to age 21.

Clinical Program Planners perform planning and analytical functions in support of clinical programs and activities requiring graduate level education in health-related or social science planning and research.
Two or more years of applicable experience as described in the job duties and a Master’s degree in a field of study applicable to the job duties.
