We are seeking an experienced Medical Bill Review Analyst for a long-term, part-time opportunity in Carson City, NV.
In this role, you will review medical claims and billing information to ensure accurate pricing and reimbursement in accordance with established fee schedules, policies, and contractual agreements. The ideal candidate will have a background in medical billing, claims processing, or healthcare reimbursement, along with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Review medical claims for accuracy, proper coding, and compliance with applicable billing guidelines.
- Apply fee schedules, reimbursement methodologies, and contractual pricing agreements to determine appropriate payments.
- Identify and research billing discrepancies, pricing errors, and claim adjustments.
- Review medical codes and supporting documentation to ensure accurate claims processing.
- Research complex claims and interpret applicable reimbursement policies.
- Identify potential over payments and help ensure consistent application of pricing guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation of claim reviews, findings, and adjustments.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years of experience in medical billing, health insurance claims, claims processing, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of medical billing terminology, CPT codes, and ICD-10 codes.
- Familiarity with medical reimbursement practices, provider agreements, and fee schedules.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, databases, and claims processing systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
This is a long-term temporary position offering approximately 20 hours per week. The role is well suited for someone with medical billing or claims review experience who is seeking a consistent part-time schedule.
Pay Rate: $45.80-$54.93 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
