Performs the physical tasks involved in order fulfillment involving receiving product, maintaining records of all activities, and monitoring goods to ensure accurate inventory levels. This position provides material delivery, preparation, and replenishment support to various production areas within the facility. Position requires the physical movement of materials from one area to another with the primary focus being to support direct production activities allowing production personnel to focus exclusively on value-added work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Maintains an awareness of schedules and deadlines and adapts to changing work priorities throughout the shift.
- Apply continuous improvement methods to identify and reduce pick errors, process issues, and quality concerns.
- Runs work center detail reports.
- Prints and fills customer orders.
- Retrieves items from warehouse.
- Verifies counts on receipts of incoming goods and prepares material for outside processes.
- Communicates with planners as necessary.
- Properly stores materials in designated storage locations of warehouse.
- Completes transactions on computer or other devices. Completes required information on forms.
- Transports goods to and from multiple locations.
- Assists manufacturing team with resolution of shortages. Investigates cause of shortages. Retrieve shortage goods form warehouse and record on computer or other devices.
- Completes daily return to inventory transactions with physical put away and completion of transactions on computer or other devices.
- Maintains stockroom in a clean and orderly manner, achieving a high level of 6S.
- Conducts physical audits of stock locations as scheduled.
- Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CB policies and procedures.
- Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
- Other duties as assigned.
- General knowledge of inventory systems.
- Ability to read, write and understand the English language.
- Proficient computer and keyboarding skills including MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED).
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an inventory, warehousing, or distribution center environment.
- Lean training or experience preferred.
