ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a Production Lead for a thriving aerospace manufacturing company in Carson City, NV! This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and experience in manufacturing to further their career within a stable and growing company!
- Direct team efforts based on management instructions, work orders, and materials.
- Perform mechanical assembly tasks using hand tools, pneumatic, and electromechanical tools.
- Mentor team members on processes, best practices, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure adequate stock of sub-assemblies and parts for production.
- Identify and report any issues with machines, processes, or materials to supervisors.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Assist in resolving assembly and packing issues as needed.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate attention to detail.
- Complete documentation and use Lean work practices.
- Perform basic math and use measuring tools accurately.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to perform dimensional inspections.
- Proficient in using computers for work order management and documentation.
- Knowledge of safety standards, including 6S, SDS, and FOD.
- Familiar with Quality and Environment Management Systems (QEMS).
- Ability to assist and train team members in their duties.
- Basic math skills, including fractions, metric conversions, and geometry.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- 7+ years of related manufacturing or production experience.
- Preferred certifications:
Manufacturing Technician (MT1), Certified Manufacturing Inspector (CMI), or AA degree in a related field. - National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) of Silver or higher preferred.
- Certified Manufacturing Inspector (CMI) certification
