SummaryA precision manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Manager of Quality Assurance to lead its quality systems, compliance initiatives, and process improvement strategy. This role oversees quality engineering, inspection, and auditing activities, ensuring alignment with AS9100, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001 standards. The ideal candidate combines leadership, analytical rigor, and a hands‑on approach to maintain excellence in manufacturing quality and operational consistency.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Lead, develop, and enforce the company’s Quality Management System across all functions
- Oversee quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians to ensure compliance and performance
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for nonconformance and process improvements
- Coordinate internal and external audits to meet AS9100 and ISO 14001 certification standards
- Review vendor quality, materials, and documentation for compliance with customer requirements
- Collaborate with leadership to define objectives, metrics, and quality improvement initiatives
- Prepare reports, data analysis, and management presentations on quality trends and actions
- Manage QMS documentation, approvals, and training programs to maintain system integrity
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance; aerospace experience preferred
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Strong background in AS9100 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 systems and auditing processes
- Experience managing supplier audits, NCRs, CARs, and continuous improvement projects
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate with all organizational levels
