Job Summary
Under general supervision, prepares and cooks high-quality food in an efficient, sanitary, and consistent manner. Coordinates with the kitchen team to ensure food is ready simultaneously and promptly. Ensures the workstation is properly equipped with tools and food supplies. Oversees the work of other kitchen staff and performs additional duties as required.
Essential Functions:
Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
Prepare food for service, such as chopping vegetables.
Cook menu items collaboratively with the kitchen team, ensuring timely and high-quality output.
Follow supervisor’s instructions, report issues, and maintain cleanliness of the station.
Ensure food safety by monitoring and adjusting temperatures to meet health standards.
Provide training and oversight to less experienced staff.
Communicate regularly with supervisors and service staff to address issues and guest needs.
Minimize waste to control food costs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
