While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam tables and food vapors. Workspace is restricted and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods. Employees must prepare hot and cold foods, use kitchen equipment, and work quickly without losing accuracy. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for up to four hours, and reach across counters is required.

Kitchens are hot and noisy; storage space is limited. Must work in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and manage conflicts/difficult situations.
