Position: Material Handler I

Job Summary

Retrieve inventory to fulfill work orders, customer orders, receive product, and maintain computer records of all activities. Maintain accurate inventory levels by monitoring goods. Transport materials, tools, and documentation throughout all Click Bond buildings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Transport goods and documentation to and from multiple locations.
  • Run work center detail reports, verify counts on receipts of incoming goods, and communicate with planners to adjust receipts. Store materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Retrieve items from the warehouse to verify counts and adjust orders if necessary.
  • Deliver materials to work centers and obtain routine shipper sheet work center detail reports.
  • Print customer orders and retrieve product from the warehouse to fulfill line items. Complete required information on forms.
  • Transfer goods to appropriate workstations.
  • Assist the manufacturing team with resolution of shortages, investigate causes, and transact shortage goods in the system.
  • Maintain the stockroom in a clean and orderly manner, achieving a high level of 6S.
  • Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
  • Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CB policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard‑free work areas.
  • Work with minimal supervision, be a self‑starter, and be detail oriented.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • General knowledge of inventory systems.
  • Computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to write and read English.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED).
  • A minimum of six months’ experience in an inventory, warehousing, or distribution center environment preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Valid driver’s license.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This is not a supervisory position.

Physical Demands
  • Frequent standing, hand‑to‑hand handling, lifting or feeling, and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Frequent walking, sitting, bending, and reaching.
  • Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds manually and occasionally moving heavier loads with appropriate handling aids and equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Personal Protective Equipment
  • Work primarily performed in a standard office environment. If in manufacturing areas, requires protective eyewear and/or hearing protection.
Work Environment
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
