General Manager

Key Accountabilities Include

• Partners with the Managing Director to manage the P&L including budgeting, forecasting & reporting.

• Formulates strategies in conjunction with the Managing Director and ensures they align with the overall SEKO strategy.

• Directs international and domestic operations teams, including supervisory functions and personnel management.

• Recruits and maintains a qualified staff; communicates areas of responsibility and performance expectations; ensures accountability for performance.

• Conducts timely and constructive employee evaluations; ensures proper training of employees; fosters a cooperative and productive work environment.

• Directs activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation vehicles; assesses routing alternatives.

• Handles breakdowns and delays; communicates with department staff as appropriate; assists with day-to-day issues (customer delays, orders not delivered, driver directions, etc.).

• Performs duties ethically and in accordance with Company policies; leads by example with high ethical standards.

• Participates in developing a safe and healthy workplace; complies with safety instructions and legislative obligations.

• Other duties as assigned by management.

• Proficient computer skills, including transportation systems applications and MS Office Suite; able to learn new applications and system upgrades.

• Must have a valid driver’s license;
English/Spanish bilingual skills are useful.

• Must be able to work a variety of shifts as necessary.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience, with minimum 5 years in operations and transportation management.

• Minimum 5 years in logistics management with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Compensation And Benefits

The base salary range is $101,100 - $144,400 USD per year. This role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus. Base salaries may vary by location, qualifications, and experience. Compensation and benefits are provided in accordance with applicable state/local pay transparency legislation.
