Safran is an international high‑technology group operating in the aerospace, space and defense sectors. The role of Shipping Coordinator – 2nd Shift is a pivotal part of the Shipping team. The coordinator acts as liaison between production planning and manufacturing line personnel to ensure material requirements are met and participates in shop floor activities to ensure timely material flow through the manufacturing process.

• Act as liaison between production planning and manufacturing line personnel to ensure material requirements are met.
• Participate in shop floor activities with functional groups to ensure timely material flow through the manufacturing process.
• Ensure shop floor documentation is accurate and transacted into the MRP system in a timely manner.
• Status production completions and bring shop floor issues to the attention of production management and production planning personnel.
• Work closely with manufacturing personnel to ensure daily production plans are met.
• Prioritize and sequence queued items for each work center based on predetermined production schedules.
• Investigate and resolve work order or inventory related issues working with appropriate functional personnel.
• Participate in cross‑functional process improvement teams for specified tasks assigned by management.
• Maintain and update production boards and action boards.
• Keep track, coordinate and expedite part shortages with other departments.
• Transact operations completion on MO’s and issue back‑orders.
• Close MO’s and research shortages to avoid material variances.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
