Manufacturing Supervisor

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor for a privately held manufacturing and engineering firm that specializes in mobile electronic systems mobilization, ruggedized power and cooling equipment, and defense-related infrastructure, including SCIF and TEMPEST transportable shelters for clients like the U.S. Military, Boeing, and Lockheed located in Rancho Dominguez, CA.

Shift: 9/80 schedule

Monday through Thursday 6:30am to 4pm - Every other Friday 6:30am to 3pm

Position Summary: The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience overseeing daily production operations, managing employees, monitoring production schedules, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and manage manufacturing personnel.
• Coordinate daily production schedules, work orders, and employee assignments.
• Monitor labor hours, productivity, efficiency, and production performance.
• Ensure manufacturing processes meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve production delays, quality issues, and operational challenges.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Materials, and Production teams.
• Maintain accurate production documentation and work-order records.
• Enforce workplace safety procedures and quality compliance requirements.
• Implement process improvements to reduce waste, rework, and production costs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in aerospace, defense, or industrial manufacturing.
• 2+ years of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of production scheduling, labor management, and manufacturing operations.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and technical instructions.
• Experience working in quality-controlled manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, quality systems, and continuous improvement practices preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or additional certifications preferred.
• Ability to work on the production floor and follow required safety procedures.

Ideal Candidate: A hands-on manufacturing leader with experience supervising production teams, maintaining quality standards, controlling labor costs, and meeting production deadlines. Aerospace or defense manufacturing experience is highly preferred.

Compensation: $40.00/hr.
