The International Dermal Institute (IDI) is seeking a Strategic Marketing Lead with a passion for bold ideas, disruptive campaigns, and building vibrant digital communities.
This isn’t about business-as-usual marketing. We need someone to supercharge growth and engagement in our Circle.so-powered professional community platform. This role is central to building a thriving digital hub where skin therapists, future professionals, beauty advisors, and beyond can connect, learn, and grow together.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, excels in digital-first environments, and is driven by the challenge of turning sign-ups into active, engaged members.
Key Responsibilities Fuel Community Growth- Design and launch disruptive marketing campaigns that attract new members from all corners of the industry.
- Explore and test innovative acquisition channels to rapidly expand membership.
- Build momentum by positioning IDI as the digital destination for professional skin therapists worldwide.
- Create seamless onboarding experiences that inspire new members to take their first action, return often, and feel the immediate value of belonging.
- Develop conversion strategies that transform passive observers into active participants who post, comment, and contribute regularly.
- Craft re-engagement campaigns that bring inactive members back into the conversation.
- Partner with the IDI Community Lead and content teams to deliver campaigns, events, classes, and discussions that keep the community buzzing.
- Ensure the right content, cadence, and formats spark high-quality conversations both within the community and across connected platforms.
- Collaborate with the IDI Community Lead to translate thought leadership into engaging digital content.
- Monitor and analyze key community engagement metrics (acquisition, DAU/MAU, retention, engagement rates, etc.) to measure health and identify opportunities.
- Run experiments, test bold ideas, and double down on what works to consistently improve results.
- Translate analytics into clear recommendations that shape future campaigns and community strategy.
- Bring IDI’s authoritative yet approachable voice to life across every touchpoint.
- Position the IDI community as a trusted space for learning, inspiration, and professional growth.
- Act as an internal advocate, driving awareness and adoption of the community across IDI and cross-functional teams.
- 5+ years in strategic marketing, digital community management, or brand engagement.
- Proven track record of growing and activating online community platforms (Circle.so experience highly preferred).
- Strong copywriting and content strategy skills, particularly in B2B or professional education.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate metrics into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Familiarity with the professional skin care or beauty industry strongly preferred.
- Strategic thinker with an eye for detail and execution.
- Strong communicator with a knack for creating punchy, professional, and engaging messaging.
- A creative mind that loves testing disruptive ideas and pushing past “what’s always been done.”
