We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber with a strong background in industrial construction, heavy commercial plumbing, and refinery environments. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of plumbing systems that support refinery operations, including domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, eyewash stations, safety showers, and related facility infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in active industrial facilities and construction environments while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair domestic water distribution systems.
  • Install and repair sanitary sewer, storm drain, and waste piping systems.
  • Install and maintain restroom fixtures, sinks, water heaters, drinking fountains, and related plumbing equipment.
  • Install and service emergency eyewash and safety shower systems.
  • Perform underground utility installation, repairs, and tie-ins.
  • Troubleshoot plumbing issues and perform corrective maintenance.
  • Read and interpret plumbing drawings, blueprints, specifications, and work orders.
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and proper operation.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable plumbing codes, client specifications, and refinery requirements.
  • Coordinate activities with other trades, contractors, and refinery personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and comply with all refinery safety policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform facility maintenance, repair, and renovation work supporting refinery and industrial operations.
  • Install, repair, and replace plumbing systems associated with office buildings, maintenance facilities, breakrooms, locker rooms, and restrooms.
  • Support kitchen and restroom remodeling projects, including fixture installation, piping modifications, and plumbing upgrades.
  • Coordinate plumbing activities associated with facility improvement and renovation projects.
  • Perform plumbing repairs related to drywall removal and replacement, wall penetrations, painting projects, and building renovations.
  • Assist with facility maintenance projects requiring plumbing modifications for new equipment installations and building improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems supporting administrative offices, maintenance shops, and refinery support facilities.
  • Ensure all plumbing work associated with facility repairs and remodeling projects complies with applicable codes and client specifications.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience in industrial, refinery, heavy commercial, or construction environments.
  • Current Journeyman Plumber license preferred where applicable.
  • Experience with domestic water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and underground utility systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plumbing schematics.
  • Knowledge of plumbing codes, industry standards, and safe work practices.
  • Experience operating basic construction equipment and plumbing tools.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and shift schedules as required.
Required Certifications
  • Valid TWIC Card
  • 20-Hour Refinery Safety Overview (RSO) Certification
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Construction Certification preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to wear required refinery PPE, including FR clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous refinery, petrochemical, industrial plant, or terminal experience.
  • Experience with underground utility installation and repair.
  • Familiarity with refinery permitting requirements, including hot work, confined space, and lockout/tagout procedures.
