Firmware Engineer

This company builds premium LED lighting systems for ultra-high-end residential and commercial spaces—the kind of projects where performance and craftsmanship matter more than shaving pennies off a BOM. This isn't cost-driven consumer electronics. You'll be building products that prioritize doing it right.

My client is a 30-year-old company with a startup mentality: small team, no bureaucracy, real ownership. You won't be siloed into one narrow slice of the stack—you'll work across the entire firmware development lifecycle, from architecture decisions to debugging on the bench with a logic analyzer. • You'll ship products, not prototypes. Our lighting systems are installed in some of the most prestigious properties in the world.
• Small team = big impact. You'll work directly with electrical engineers and have a voice in technical decisions from day one.
• IoT without the hype. We're building real networked lighting systems with Zigbee, BLE Mesh, and WiFi—not another app that talks to a light bulb.
• Room to grow. We're building out our firmware team, and early hires will shape how we do things.

• Excellent C/C++ programming skills with experience in MCUs and embedded system design and development.
• Extensive experience in debugging embedded systems and microcontroller peripherals including I2C, SPI, UART, ADC and DAC. Must be able to debug issues using logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Solid Understanding of ARM Cortex M0/M3/M4, STM
  32, and NXP LPC
  82x Series ARM microcontrollers and ability to configure boot loaders, SW interfaces etc.
• Desirable to have experience with wireless communication techniques and associated protocols such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, BLE Mesh, LoRaWAN, WiFi etc.
• Excellent communication skills.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to operate as a self-starter, willing to learn, grow and take on a challenge.

• BS or MS Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 2+ years working as an Embedded Firmware/Software Engineer.
