In the role of Material Clerk II you’ll play a pivotal part on our Shipping team. This position is responsible for working in the Logistics Department and will be responsible for receiving, stocking, issuing, packaging, and shipping parts in a timely manner.
Works in a team environment participating in continuous improvement activities. This position contributes to our vision by performing necessary tasks to receive parts in a timely manner, stocking parts in the appropriate locations after applying identification labels and filling back orders, kit parts from stockroom locations for a variety of orders, performing part receipt and issue transactions in Business System (Movex), performing all logistics related transactions in Movex for parts issues, credits, and scrap, accurately counting parts if assigned to the cycle count team, delivering parts to specified locations within the company premises, packaging parts for shipping process and performing shipping transactions, operating FEDEX/UPS stand‑alone systems, loading ocean containers, keeping assigned areas organized and clean, performing other duties as assigned, and performing dispatch duties when needed including pick‑up and delivery of parts to suppliers locations and freight moving companies, delivery of parts to the assigned receiving personnel in the company, coordinating with the supervisor on the daily dispatch routes, loading and unloading delivery vehicles, representing Monogram in a professional and dependable manner, keeping an organized manner the assigned vehicle maintenance records, ensuring assigned vehicles are kept maintained and in excellent working condition.
- Forklift and cherry picker experience to pick and move parts to higher locations in stockroom. The maximum height the cherry picker goes up to is 24 ft.
- Ability to operate PC with knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software packages.
- Prior experience creating excel spreadsheets and entering data.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, and take initiative.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must possess basic math skills and be able to comprehend varying units of measure.
- Must know how to use measuring scales, weight scales, and counting scales.
- Ability to utilize barcode scanning equipment.
- Basic understanding of logistics process and bills of materials.
- If selected to perform dispatch function, should possess following additional skills:
- Broad understanding of supply chain functions and processes.
- Must be able to determine efficient and cost‑effective routes.
- Must be able to follow delivery and pickup instructions.
- Experience driving a bob‑tailed truck and ¾ ton delivery van.
