Overview
Warehouse Shipping and Receiving (2nd shift) role shift schedule:
Monday to Friday 2:00 PM – 11:30 PM, plus 4 Saturdays per month 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM. This is an entry level, full-time, non-exempt position with base pay of $19.00/hr new hires may earn more based on skills, experience, premium pay differential, overtime hours, and bonuses.
- Accurately select and place flooring product orders on pallets, then shrink-wrap each pallet for secure handling of heavy materials.
- Read shipping orders to determine quantity and type of transportation needed.
- Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents and maintain related data.
- Collect documentation for outbound freight and route it to the appropriate record-keeping unit.
- Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise.
- Schedule inbound and outbound freight to align with warehouse operations.
- Contact carrier representatives to arrange and provide loading instructions.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work environment.
- Keep an equipment checklist and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Perform additional duties as required or requested.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) year of warehouse experience required; forklift experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with a tablet or iPad.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure.
- Regularly required to use hands to handle objects, reach with hands and arms, and communicate verbally. Frequently walk, stand, and occasionally sit.
- Must regularly lift, pull, and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
