SUMMARY The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks and activities. Candidate must have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and perform accounting activities that are in line with accounting policies and procedures of Hanwha Q Cells Georgia to ensure accurate financial reporting. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

DESCRIPTION The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks and activities. Candidate must have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and perform accounting activities that are in line with accounting policies and procedures of Hanwha Q Cells Georgia to ensure accurate financial reporting. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

• Review appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Set up and maintain code of accounts.
• Assist in the monthly accounting close procedures including proper period end cut-off and accounting close schedule.
• Close cooperation with Finance & Accounting in Korea HQ.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Assist with regulatory reporting as applicable.
• Support the preparation of annual business plan for Finance team.
• Support the system of Internal Control over accounting functions. Assist the external auditors with certain substantive auditing procedures.
• Research accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Communicate with other departments to coordinate procedures.
• Respond to questions regarding external auditor’s review and year-end audit.
• Performs additional duties and special assignments as required.
• Support financial internal audit as needed basis.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business required
• Applicant must be detail oriented.
• Ability to deal with difficult, sensitive and confidential issues.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office:
  Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required

• 1 - 3 years of work experience in an accounting, treasury, or finance environment preferred.
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Bilingual (English, Korean) skills are a plus.

• High energy level, comfortable performing multifaced tasks in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
• High concentration for accounting information input and tracking for verification and confirmation.
• Good reasoning abilities. Sound judgment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Goal and team-oriented working attitude with open mindset.
