Mechanical Engineer SR 1
Location:
Cartersville, GA
Pay Range: $45.00/hr - $50.00/hr

Job Responsibilities:- Design mechanical systems for retrofit, environmental, and new generation projects.
- Lead mechanical design activities including pipe sizing, routing, material selection, pipe support design, valve selection, P&t, equipment layout, and hydraulic calculations.
- Develop datasheets for valves and equipment.
- Provide technical guidance to designers, develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Assist in checkout and startup of systems, making independent decisions when necessary.
- 10+ years of related experience and an accredited bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Professional engineer license preferred.
- Experience with design of power generation or heavy industrial facilities, including detailed piping and equipment design.
- Proficiency with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with P&t and review.
- Knowledge of process equipment, piping systems, valves, pumps, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers.
- Experience with hydraulic calculations and software like Pipe-Flo is preferred.
