Provides speech‑language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders or oropharyngeal dysphagia, interpreting assessment data, planning and performing speech‑language pathology treatment intervention programs to restore function, prevent disability and help patients reach maximum potential. Patient care includes neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. Responsible for supervising rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers and may provide orientation and ongoing guidance to assigned staff.
Requires direct acute‑care hospital experience and proficiency in completing Modified Barium Swallow studies. This PRN position is primarily for weekend coverage (2–4 weekend shifts per month) and includes high‑volume, call‑out, and vacation coverage; a minimum of one holiday per year is required.
Same as overview duties: coordinating and performing speech‑language pathology services, interpreting data, designing treatment programs, supervising staff, and ensuring patient care across all ages.
Education- Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA – required.
- No prior experience required.
- Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology.
- BLS certification through AHA or ARC – required.
