Temporary Assistant – IT Support CSS II – Cartersville

Job : 293240

Location: GHC - Cartersville Instructional Site (On‑site, Part‑time, 22 hrs/week)

Position Type: Temporary – Part Time

Job Summary: The position is part of the Client Technology Services (CTS) unit of GHC’s IT Division. The incumbent provides hardware and software support, manages client technology, and assists with IT projects and audio‑visual duties across all instructional sites.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Director of Client Technology & Media Services and/or IT Regional Operations Director with projects and technical implementation.
  • Provide hardware and software support for faculty, staff, and students on all GHC‑owned desktops, laptops, printers, and related peripherals.
  • Deploy and manage enterprise‑wide hardware configuration for GHC desktops, laptops, smart devices, and peripherals.
  • Install, configure, and maintain new computers and peripherals for the college.
  • Deliver tier‑two telephone, email, web, and in‑person client and technical support.
  • Facilitate resolution of student and employee user‑account issues.
  • Assist with basic audio‑visual duties within the IT Division.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for all GHC desktops and laptops.
  • Help customers connect personal devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops) to GHC Wi‑Fi.
  • Support projects within the Information Technology Services Division.
  • Coordinate with other IT personnel to diagnose and resolve system problems.
  • This role is designated as a Position of Trust.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Completion of an associate’s degree in a field related to information technology or equivalent experience.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a similar IT support role or completion of an apprenticeship/internship with relevant duties.
  • Valid driver’s license (if required for vehicle or equipment operation).
Proposed Salary

Hourly: $23 / hour (22 hrs per week)
