Job Description Ad Astra, Inc. is actively seeking qualified Spanish-English Interpreters to support upcoming in-person interpretation (IPI/OSI) assignments at local schools in Cartersville, Georgia
.
We are expanding our network of professional interpreters who can facilitate effective communication between Spanish-speaking families, students, educators, and school administrators.
This is an excellent opportunity for bilingual professionals looking to gain experience in educational settings, expand their interpreting portfolio, and take on flexible freelance assignments.
Key Responsibilities Provide accurate, complete, and impartial interpretation between English and Spanish.Facilitate communication during parent-teacher conferences, student evaluations, school meetings, and other educational activities.Interpret directly between both languages while maintaining the original meaning, tone, and intent.Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional interpreting standards.Demonstrate cultural awareness, professionalism, and sensitivity.Arrive on time and follow assignment-specific instructions and procedures.Qualifications
Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.Ability to interpret accurately and directly between English and Spanish.Previous professional interpreting experience preferred, particularly in educational, community, medical, or government settings.Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain neutrality, accuracy, and confidentiality.Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to different school locations throughout Cartersville, GA.Availability for in-person assignments, primarily during regular school hours.Ability to complete required onboarding procedures and background screening.What We Offer
