Production Operator Lead - 1st Shift

Overview

The Production Team Lead is responsible for achieving production and quality requirements within a defined time‑frame, from preparation to filling, while remaining compliant with hygiene, HACCP and work safety guidelines.

• Organize the set‑up (structure, plants), procedure and team for the shift.
• Manage and monitor production, while adhering to time, cost and quality specifications (taking into account optimum capacity utilization during disruptions).
• Operate production machines by means of automatic/manual controls, and adjust production equipment to product‑specific parameters according to the daily production plan and the observance of time parameters.
• Initiate and control repairs, maintenance and modifications of machines in close coordination with the supervisor and maintenance department.
• Takes samples and conducts quality controls, forwarding the results to Quality as needed.
• Fill finished products into appropriate packaging.
• Record all data as required (i.e. charts, necessary process adjustments based on data findings, etc.).
• Perform CIP/COP and general sanitation as needed.
• Implement the internal and legal specifications and guidelines concerning hygiene, HACCP, food and work safety and environmental protection.
• Inform Supervisor and Manager on issues or immediate needs that may impact the department.
• Adhere to GMPs within appropriate zones.
• Interact with and input data into SAP.
• Perform general sanitation duties.
• Assist in other areas of production as needed.
• Interact with and follow instructions provided on PI sheet.

• High school diploma.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a manufacturing / production environment.
• Must be proficient in the use of equipment such as flow meters, scales, steam lines, chart recorders, agitators, pumps, valves, and batch tanks.
• Must be able to read and understand PI sheets.
• Must be able to read and follow a production schedule.
