- Compensation: $30/hour
- Completion of an accredited licensed practical nursing program.
- Current and unencumbered license in the state of practice.
- At least one year of experience in the last three years.
- Background screening as required by state or client contract.
- Drug screening as required by the contract.
- Some states or clients may require an employment physical.
- Work sites vary.
- Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.
- Applicant must read medical equipment and documents; pushing carts and medical equipment may be part of the job.
- Ability to assist with moving patients; transporting patients may be required.
- Complies with ATC Healthcare Services policies and procedures.
- LPN performs nursing acts under delegation/supervision of RN, MD, or mid-level providers.
- Administers nursing procedures (sterile dressing, soaks, compresses, enemas, suppositories, tube feeding, oxygen therapy, range of motion therapy, catheterization, diabetic care, pre- and post-operative care).
- Sets up prescribed medications per nursing care plans.
- Administers medications orally, intramuscularly, or subcutaneously.
- Monitors medication effects and records patient reactions.
- Assists in rehabilitation programming and activities for residents: development of social skills, daily living skills, reality orientation, recreational skills, etc.
- Records treatment given; tracks and monitors patient health.
- Transports or accompanies patients to procedures.
- May perform limited IV tasks if currently IV certified.
- Makes certain that patient confidentiality per HIPAA is maintained.
- Provides non-judgmental, culturally appropriate care preserving autonomy, rights, and dignity.
