American Traveler is hiring an RN - ICU for a Critical Care Float position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and the ability to float across multiple hospital units.

• Hospital float pool position covering Critical Care, Emergency Department, ER hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU units
• Patient ratios up to 1:6 in Med-Surg and 1:2-3 in ICU
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidate must be flexible with scheduling; no block schedule requests accepted

• Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, arterial line management, and central line care/management
• Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs
• Respiratory/thoracic care experience including BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
• Experience with ETT and NT suctioning
• Isolation precautions and PPE experience
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience, including management of dysrhythmias
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Locals accepted at the same bill rate
• Max RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized at time of consideration
• No RTO may be requested during orientation week
• Holiday coverage required: one holiday worked if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment, two holidays worked if three major holidays occur during the assignment
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Full compliance required prior to start date to avoid a two-week delay due to biweekly orientation scheduling
• Former permanent, per diem, or internal staff must be away from all facilities within the health system for one full year before returning as a traveler
• Returning travelers who previously cancelled or were not approved to return must complete one assignment outside the health system before reapplying
