Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring at least 1 year of PCU/telemetry experience and GA or compact RN licensure.

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU/telemetry experience required
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and peripheral line care, PICC line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with cardiac and vasoactive drip management
• Experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias and using rapid response/code teams
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• Copies of required certifications needed for consideration

• PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown unit caring for cardiac telemetry and medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Epic charting system experience required
• Provide telemetry and stepdown level care to a cardiac, neurological, and post-surgical patient population
• Manage patients with conditions such as CVA, traumatic brain injury, post cardiac catheterization, and renal failure
• Perform wound care, isolation precautions, and insulin drip titration as needed
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, which must be finalized at time of submission
• No RTO permitted during orientation week
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous Piedmont employees must be away from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before returning as a traveler
• Travelers previously cancelled or deemed not returnable must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
• No schedule changes or shift requests permitted once assignment begins
