The Fountains in Cartersville, a community of Navion Senior Living, is seeking cooks to assist in the preparation, oversight, and serving of meals. Our cooks are responsible for delivering top-notch food service in a high-quality, cutting-edge Assisted Living and Memory Care Community. The successful candidates will employ their culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our residents' satisfaction.

This is a Part-Time opportunity to join a great team! Shifts will vary between morning, noon, and evening meals!

• Maintains a current Serv Safe certificate (food services sanitation certificate) or able to participate in the food services sanitation training to become Serv Safe certified
• High School diploma or GED accepted
• A culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred
• One (1) year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items and therapeutic diets
• Must be 16 years or older.
• Three years’ experience in a healthcare, hospitality or service environment preferred
• Culinary arts experience preferred
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred
• Ability to work in an environment conducive to caring for residents without posing a substantial safety or health threat to self or others
• Ability to work well with others and promote a team environment

• Ability to prepare palatable foods that are appetizing in appearance
• Knowledge of safety and sanitary requirements
• Ability to learn basic tasks and follow written and verbal instructions
• Pleasant, friendly and helpful at all times ensuring proper and timely service
• Well-groomed and ability to follow dress requirements
