Facility Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Facility Maintenance Technician (Solar Industry experience is a Plus!) to join our team. The technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving building systems, equipment, and facilities. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and smooth operation of the workplace environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, fixtures, and facility issues in a timely manner.
• Assist with building upkeep, including painting, carpentry, and minor renovations.
• Perform basic job tasks requiring the use of power and hand tools such as wrenches, calipers, screwdriver, hammer, saws-all, utility knife, push knife, scraper, air hose, broom, shovel, squeegee, and vacuums
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
• Knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and replacement parts.
• Collaborate with outside contractors and vendors as needed.
• Keep accurate records of work performed and maintenance schedules.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 2 plus years of experience in facility or building maintenance.
• Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general building systems.
• Ability to perform hands-on maintenance repair work.
• Basic computer literacy for maintenance tracking software.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work is typically performed indoors and outdoors. Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs.
