An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) to join the Newcastle 0-19 Service as a Band 7 Clinical Educator
. This community-based role will lead the development, delivery and evaluation of education, training and clinical competency programmes that support the ongoing development of the multidisciplinary workforce and contribute to excellence in care for babies, children, young people and families.

The post holder will work across community settings to promote high-quality, evidence-based practice, ensuring staff have the knowledge, skills and competencies required to meet the changing needs of the population and service. They will provide professional leadership, expert advice and educational support to practitioners, students and colleagues, championing a culture of continuous learning and quality improvement.

This role offers the opportunity to influence practice development, workforce transformation and service improvement across the 0-19 Service while working closely with operational and professional leaders.

• Lead the development, delivery and evaluation of clinical education, training and workforce development programmes across the 0-19 Service.
• Undertake training needs analyses and identify opportunities to enhance learning and professional development within the workforce.
• Develop, implement and evaluate competency-based education and clinical skills programmes.
• Support pre-registration students, SCPHN students, newly qualified practitioners, preceptors and established staff to achieve learning outcomes and professional competencies.
• Promote evidence-based practice and support the translation of research, audit findings and national guidance into clinical practice.
• Coach, mentor and support staff to develop confidence, competence and professional leadership skills.
