Base pay range

$18.00/hr - $21.00/hr

Shift
  • 1st Shift: (Cary Location) 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, M-F
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 1+ yrs of machine operator experience a PLUS but not required
  • 2+ yrs doing any complex Mechanical (i.e. taking cars, machines apart, replacing engines or transmissions, etc) is required
  • Ability to be on your feet and stand/walk for entire shift
  • Strong basic math skills with the ability to add, subtract, divide and multiply to figure footage and lineal footage
  • Make and interpret measurements with a standard ruler to 1/16 of an inch (must pass a pre-employment ruler test)
  • Physically fit with no restrictions and the ability to lift up to 65 lbs; push, pull, maneuver very large rolls of materials weighing several hundred pounds with the use of equipment on a daily basis. Must be able to squat, bend, crouch, and kneel. Must be able to tolerate chemicals and occasional strong odors
  • Previous ISO experience in a manufacturing or light industrial environment preferred
  • Previous lamination, packaging or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred but NOT required, WE WILL TRAIN
Responsibilities

The Slitting Machine Operator slits material to support press, lamination, and pouch departments, and Customer rollstock business.
