The RoleAs the Production Supervisor (PS), you will ensure accurate and timely component moves through the plant. You will lead manufacturing floor operations, support production flow, and maintain strong communication with internal teams, ensuring adherence to process sustainment and data integrity.
Responsibilities- Coordinate production components through the shop floor and various functional departments providing status to production teams.
- Attend department meetings, manage actions, and conduct follow‑up with owners.
- Work cross‑functionally with engineering, quality, production, planning/scheduling, shipping, receiving, and other departments.
- Assist operations supervisors and team leads in prioritizing and reconciling component quantities and assemblies across the floor.
- Manage shipping and receiving functions, bar code, and labeling equipment.
- Coordinate with supervisors to expedite assemblies from manufacturing to shipping.
- Provide technical bar code and labeling support as shop floor Business Process Owner.
- Ensure material movement from key shop floor areas, kits to/from stock room, and components at the shop transfer zone.
- Adhere to transaction quantities throughout manufacturing in the MES (SFM).
- Track and move components flow to/from CNC, CMM, and assembly.
- Plan and assure packaging materials; maintain storage plan for finished goods.
- Maintain lot integrity, MRB movement, and tracking.
- Support and participate in cycle count programs and annual company physical inventory.
- Facilitate seamless material movement between departments.
- Create daily work progress reports, transaction reports, cycle count reports, and open MO reports.
- Maintain controlled WIP and reconcile SFM and ERP transaction quantities and locations.
- Identify floor stock items, create replenishment processes and milk runs.
- Act as shop floor liaison for purchasing, material reviews, and replenishment quantities.
- Use safety stock and Kanban to improve material flow.
- Ensure production staff have visibility to all components associated with the MO in process by updating the production schedule.
- Perform various projects and analyses as required on an ad‑hoc basis.
- HS diploma or GED required, or equivalent work experience. Associate’s degree in operations a plus.
- Previous manufacturing experience in a discrete process environment.
- Strong adherence to process and data analysis skills.
- Sound judgment and capability to sustain new implemented processes.
- Self‑motivated, driven, flexible, adaptable with a desire to implement change and improvements; results driven.
- Excellent verbal, electronic, and written communication skills.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Computer skills: proficiency in MS Great Plains ERP, MES systems, MS Office, MS Dynamics 365 a plus.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now and future.
- Preferred bilingual in English/Spanish.
$26.00 – $28.00 per hour.
