Join Technipaq as a Rollstock Slitter Technician. Picture this: your shift begins in our Cary location, and you’re the go-to expert turning wide webs of foil, film, Tyvek, and paper laminates into precise rolls that feed our press, lamination, and pouch lines—and fulfill customer rollstock orders. You set up the slitting machine, dial in measurements to 1/16 of an inch, calculate footage, and help keep production flowing for the medical device and pharmaceutical packaging we’re known for.

Shifts

Available (Cary location)
  • 1st Shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday–Friday
  • 2nd Shift: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm, Monday–Friday
What You’ll Do
  • Operate slitting equipment to convert materials that support our press, lamination, and pouch departments, as well as customer rollstock needs.
  • Set up machines, verify specs, and measure to 1/16" using a standard ruler (you’ll complete a pre-employment ruler test).
  • Use strong basic math to add, subtract, multiply, and divide for lineal footage calculations.
  • Handle and maneuver large material rolls, using equipment to move items weighing several hundred pounds.
What You Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Required:

2+ years of hands‑on complex mechanical work (e.g., taking cars or machines apart, replacing engines/transmissions).
  • 1+ year of machine operator experience is a plus (not required—we will train).
  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
  • Comfort with measurements to 1/16" and passing a pre-employment ruler test.
  • Physically able to lift up to 65 lbs; squat, bend, crouch, and kneel; and push/pull large rolls with equipment. Able to tolerate chemicals and occasional strong odors.
  • Previous ISO experience in manufacturing or light industrial settings preferred.
  • Background in lamination, packaging, or pharmaceutical industries is helpful but not required—we provide training.
