CNC Lathe or Mill Operators - Multiple Opportunities!

Our client, a manufacturer of high-quality industrial heaters, temperature sensors, and temperature controls, is seeking experienced CNC Lathe and Mill Operators to join their team!

2nd shift opportunities available!

Pay range: $22-$38/hr. (depending on experience) (2nd shift has a 15% shift differential)

** This position also has a potential to earn a $5,000 sign-on bonus!**

As the CNC Machinist, you will prepare and set up machines to fabricate highly precision-machined parts. Operators set up and operate close tolerance and conventional equipment, then verify precision machined parts and document actions.

Responsibilities:

• Operate Haas CNC milling machines safely and efficiently to produce quality parts according to specifications.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts while ensuring proper machine operation and workflow.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production drawings to understand part requirements.
• Perform basic machine setups, including installing tooling, fixtures, and work holding as required.
• Make minor tool and offset adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Monitor machining operations and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment.
• Identify and report machining, tooling, or quality issues and assist with basic troubleshooting.
• Follow established CNC programs and make routine adjustments within approved parameters.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all company safety and quality procedures.
• Complete required production and inspection documentation accurately.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubrication, chip removal, and basic machine checks.
• Work closely with leads, supervisors, programmers, and quality personnel to meet production requirements.
• Meet established production and quality standards while maintaining attention to detail.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn additional CNC machining, setup, and programming skills as needed.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience operating CNC milling machines, preferably Haas equipment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and basic GD&T.
• Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Ability to load and unload parts, perform basic machine setups, and make minor offsets or adjustments as needed.
• Basic understanding of CNC programs, tooling, cutting speeds, feeds, and machine operation.
• Ability to inspect finished parts and verify they meet required specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to follow work instructions, safety procedures, and production schedules.
• Comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment.
• Basic troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify machining or quality issues.
• Reliable attendance, positive work ethic, and willingness to learn and develop additional CNC machining skills.
• Previous experience with Haas controls is preferred but not required.
