Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Responsible for managing the front end of the store and providing recommendations on overall pharmacy and retail store operations. Supports Store Manager with overall store operation to achieve company deliverables, works alternate schedule with minimal overlap, and assumes full responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager. Ensures proper merchandising, protection of store assets, and focuses on improving sales and profitability.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline.
- Enhance customer experience by greeting, assisting, resolving complaints, coaching staff, and improving customer service metrics.
- Supervise store operations: assign daily activities, delegate tasks, manage scheduling, approve time records, and ensure proper coverage.
- Collaborate with external partners and community outreach, support data analysis for fact‑based decisions, and monitor impact.
- Maintain cash management, inventory control, and compliance with all company policies and local laws.
- Execute operational feedback from Store Manager and District Manager, manage repairs, maintenance, and emergencies.
- Ensure staff are knowledgeable on computer and technology systems and uphold safety standards.
- Analyze financial and performance data to create action plans and support store performance goals.
- Provide training, mentoring, and coaching to enable career development.
- Adhere to hiring procedures, develop talent pipelines, and conduct interviews and hiring decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree (all majors welcome) or completed Walgreens Community Internship Program, or high school diploma/GED with two years of supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, professional business ethics, self‑motivation, strong communication, and business acumen.
- Completion of Store Manager training program (LEAP) or willingness to complete Walgreens Leadership Essentials training within 12 weeks of ESM start date.
- Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English (except Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and extended days.
- Willingness to accept promotion to Store Manager if offered, which may require relocation.
- Ability to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets within the same hiring area.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Internal: management experience across front‑end and pharmacy.
- External: business majors with prior retail or food industry experience.

This information is being provided to promote pay transparency and equal employment opportunities current salary range for this position is $45,000 - $71,550.
