We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager – Logistics & Freight to join our growing team. This role is essential in driving new business opportunities and building long-lasting customer relationships. Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, cold calling, and consultative sales techniques.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, providing solutions tailored to their shipping needs.
  • Act as a consultative resource to customers regarding service offerings, market trends, and industry standards.
  • Provide accurate and competitive freight quotes by considering all variable factors.
  • Manage customer shipments, ensuring seamless coordination and proactive communication to meet service expectations.
  • Work closely with dispatch and operations teams to optimize load planning and execution.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and performance metrics through consistent effort and engagement.
  • Continuously improve industry knowledge through sales training and market trend analysis.
Qualifications
  • Prior sales experience, particularly in inside sales, logistics, or transportation.
  • Strong negotiation skills, persuasiveness, and confidence.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize profitable opportunities.
  • Effective and professional written and verbal communication.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a team-player mindset.
